The Chatty Factories Project
Venue: Various locations
The Chatty Factories project is a three-year project funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) through its programme for New Industrial Systems. They are shortly to run a series of workshops for designers in industry and academia.
The purpose of is for industry and academic designers to work with their team to identify what type of information designers would most value from ‘use’ data on their products, when in real-time use by consumers. This is because a key challenge for designers is how to gather useful insights from data in order to accelerate the time consuming and labour-intensive business of product research.
