By the end of the day participants will be familiar with how to access and run a range of key statistical procedures and be able to understand and interpret output generated by IBM SPSS.
On completing the course, participants will have covered the following:
- Drawing inferences about populations from a sample
- The importance of standard errors and confidence intervals

The course is designed for those with some previous experience of working with SPSS and individual level survey data. Ideally participants should have taken Practical Skills for Data Analysts or have equivalent experience. No previous knowledge or experience of inferential statistics is assumed, however a basic understanding of descriptive statistics would be helpful.
