Future Computing Paradigms
Venue: Broadway House, Tothill Street, London, UK
Sorry, this event has now ended.
Innovate UK and KTN are hosting a workshop aimed at assessing the current R&D interest and activity in new non-electronic digital computing paradigms – specifically computing using optical computing (photonic processors, Fourier computing etc), quantum technology and biological computing (cell or systems biology based computing, rather than the application of computers to biological analyses).
The event, being held on the 16th March in London, will cover not simply the computing technology itself but also the tools and methods appropriate to developing software and systems using these alternative ‘hardware’ platforms, including validation, verification and testing.
The information gleaned from the workshop will be used by Innovate UK as part of its evaluation of whether, when and how it might make an intervention in this area through its emerging technology programme.
The event will overview the 3 paradigms and then consist of structured round table discussions to elicit different views. Anyone with an interest in these areas is welcome to attend and input their views.
Registration and further information available on the Innovate UK website.
